But once you’ve done that, remember this: The new tool is just a tool. And it may not be the best tool for all things. Sometimes an email or phone call or direct face-to-face communication is still the best thing.

Use the right tool for the job.

So, short term, learn the new tool and become proficient at it.

Then determine when you should use it, and when the old tools are more appropriate for the needs at the time.
