I believe that we are sometimes flattered when someone says they want to achieve what we have achieved and fail to use that moment to make them realise that they have their own path which may be more significant than the one we have travelled. Their best path may even be very different from our own. The coaching opportunity is to set the individual on their most effective path by challenging them to reflect on any self doubt that they have and set a vision for their best self that they should pursue.
