I had a similar reaction. I also believe the statement, “…compensate for the problems I think we will see” may come across as passive aggressive and met with the following response: “We are going to skip diagnosis because I said so. If that presents a problem, that is your fault—not mine. If you can’t follow my simple instructions and get the job done without making excuses, you may not have a job on this team. Am I clear?”
