Oh, my goodness, this one had me laughing. My story is that I did not lose my 7-year-old son. I forgot to pick him up the last day of school. Had a meeting that run to 6pm. After school care ended at 6pm. I don’t know how I made it to the school without getting a ticket. Thank the stars that they had left one teacher assistant with him outside the school doors. I was so embarrassed and thanked him profusely. It was my son’s last day at that school. I had transferred him to another school. I apologized profusely to him and bought him a large ice cream before heading home. Life of a single mom.

Thanks for your story because I needed a laugh about my very own Valentines Day debacle that happened this morning. Your story is a reminder that its okay when I lose my perspective sometimes because I’m learning from these experiences. At these times, I try and give myself some extra dose of grace and try and do differently next time.

While loosing focus and misplacing your child was horible it ended well. However, I hope that you quickly learned that a gift for the love of your life should never be something that requires additional work (blender, dishwasher, vacuum, etc.). A gift should be something that one simply enjoys. 🙂

@Chris Brodie It is kind of others to share similar mistakes. I was suspicious that others had erred in a similar fashion. Now I have proof that I can show to my wife!
