For me, it’s not over yet, as HR and the owner of the company have continued sabotaging my attempts to find suitable employment. I believe they’re hoping I’ll end up completely unemployable, thus “proving” their abuse was justified, even though I’m only struggling to find work because of their slanders.

I have experienced this type of bullying firsthand, and HR not only permitted the mob mentality, but participated. After 17 years of service, I made the decision to leave the company because I had exhausted all of the internal resources that were available to “assist” me, i.e. HR. To your point C A., I am “haunted” and scarred by the appalling behavior of the leaders I trusted. Lying, retaliation and unethical behavior are not “illegal” or considered discrimination. Victims are helpless to do anything except uproot and find another job.

So is the concept of “mobbing,” HR is usually part of the mobbing process, too, unfortunately. Even HR individuals with Trainig in Crucial confrontations. Sad, but true. The victim is haunted for a lifetime, of the shattered dreams from the mobbing.
