Amazing story……..wish I had read this story when I was first starting out in administration 38 years ago! But, it is still relevant and significant today. I would venture to say that the “Choleric” type personality has a lot more “Hog” situations than any other type of personality. Maneuvering in and out of relationships minute to minute at work and home can be difficult at times. It is a skill to learn:) It’s like mixing colors……by themselves, you can have a bright red and orange and blue, but when you mix them you get brown! Thank you for this new insight-best practice! Am forwarding the story!!!!!

The story of The Hog really hits home today and helps me to look at anger, frustrations, sabotage and violence between people and within a community from several perspectives. In the stand-offs in our streets each night, The Hog is evident – from all sides.

It’s often so hard to “put the shoe on the other” foot when there is so much emotion attached to a situtation. I pray that in time, some will be able to “hear” and acknowledge the experiences of those at whom their anger and frustrations are being directed. Thank you.

Great insights into people’s perceptions of leaders and how good intentions sometimes turn horribly wrong, destroying relationships, reputations and property…
Thanks a lot.
