This was my post and actually I followed this lead. Much simpler but all the same. All I did was say that I know this is hard for our leadership as well and that I am willing to do my best to think of solutions vs dwelling on problems. When I share and idea I try to convey what positive outcome it could have and thus far several of those ideas were approved. The atmosphere isn’t just in our work environment, it is in others as well and often I think those responses of negativity are brought from environments outside of our area. It’s how we respond sometimes that makes a difference in the outcome.

Still a challenge but one that has potential, which is far better than feeling like it’s hopeless. So, thank you Joseph. Sometimes we have to start with ourselves first I think.

While the example was long, I could imagine shortening the story. But the idea that stories help people to have a vicarious experience is very helpful to remember. Thanks.

The person would have tuned out well before you got to the end.
