I found I could be very open with them about what I was doing and why; that is, no reverse psychology or secrecy was needed. I wonder if the same can be done when starting out using the tools of Crucial Conversations with people. Would it work to just be upfront, asking for their indulgence as you try out these tools to improve your own communication skills?
