I have followed that formula for most of my career. It helps when you have many people (4 teams) asking for work to be done. I am in customer service, customers always take priority. Everything else falls in the points that you bring out in 5 Tips to Better Balance Your Workload. I do have conversations with timing conflicts with things to be done. I let them decide what they think is most important…this or that. It always works out and they appreciate the conversation.
